Population of Allanak?

Hello. All my previous characters have had Tuluk as their starting point. It was pretty empty and I got bored quickly due to the lack of RP opportunities. How many players are in Allanak at any given time?

Thanks a lot.
LOL WAT?

I don't think I've logged in and not ran into someone in the popular parts of town. So I'd say quite a few.

Hey,

It mostly depends on what time you're playing.

Evening (by United States time) is usually peak time.

You will see about 50 players online.

About twenty of those will be in Allanak, but about half of those will either be too rich to speak to your character or antisocial outlaw types who won't want much to do with you.

That being said, if you can manage to log on in Allanak during peak times you will probably have about ten characters to interact with.  Expect a lot of confrontations and potentially some violence.

If you're looking to make friends for your character, hanging out in the bars after sundown is a good starting point.  Few people will turn down a free drink.

Remember to watch your back.

I would debate that pretty strongly.

I highly suggest joining a clan, no matter where you're playing, if you're feeling starved for interaction.  Personally, I'm not a huge fan of solo RP, so I tend to play clanned characters more often than not.  That should help you with interaction in Allanak, Tuluk, Luir's, and everywhere else... except probably Red Storm.

Note: While the haughty, rich, noble characters might not want to interact with your commonfilth PC, I can pretty much promise you from experience that most of their players will. Being haughty and inaccessible is boring.

Nothing wrong with 'Storm', last two times I visited, its been hopping!  Well, there have been at least a couple of active and talkative PCs.  Might just be my 'peak' hours though.  I'll agree to the interaction in Allanak and Tuluk definately!
Previous of note: Kaevya the blind Tor Scorpion, Kaloraynai 'Raynai' the beetle Ruk, Korenyire of SLK, Koal 'Kick' the hooved Whiran, Kocadici/Dici/Glimmer, Koefaxine the giant Oashi 'Aide', Kosmia 'Grit' the rinthi
Current: Like I'd tell you.

I've found that taking the initiative and ingratiating myself to nobles/Templars is the way to go, because no higher-stationed person by their very position will affect to take interest in you unless you impress them. That and noble players, being nobles, NEED someone to be noble at, so they're in fact pretty desperate for mundane, common snotballs to 'hang' with.

And you get buddy-buddy with a noble, you get noticed by other nobles/people, they talk to you...wrap you up in their politicking...probably wind up dead...

All in the name of fun!

Never forget this.

Ever.

Players in Allanak now seem to be doing a great job of interacting with nobles/templars as realistic, but just remember, though it may be below a noble's station to come hang out with you, your character would know that, if you're polite enough, a noble always likes people who can be useful to them.

Ahem. As having been recently playing for upwards of 18 hours in one sitting for the past few days, I can say there is almost never not anybody in Allanak.

Even when it gets down to like.... Six players online. All of those six are most likely in Allanak.

For good reason.

Because your characters always smell funny.  >:(
