Can't Access Main Site?

What client are you using?

I just replaced the DNS address ginka.armageddon.org with the IP address 64.252.79.51 in my client and then saved the settings, closed the program, reopened the program and connected via the IP address...

The port will remain 4050.

If you're still having trouble, you might want to make a whole new connection in addition to your main one, with 64.252.79.51:4050 instead of ginka.armageddon.org:4050. Then, if this kind of trouble happens in the future, you may be able to use the backup one.

Sorry, I'm completely computer illiterate, and you all lost me a long time back.
I can log into the game just fine, but I can't access the main site. Does anybody else have this same problem? Does anybody know how I can fix it?

So... I switched the address to the IP in Kmuddy, and then CLOSED the program.

After reopening it, I was able to connect via IP.

Strange.  Jubilation!

Interestingly enough, I had to enter the IP to connect this time too.  But kmuddy didn't give me the same problem at all.

All well now though.

Like I mentioned before, you can put 64.252.79.51 into your address bar of your browser and it should work. You will need to tack on any subdirectories to that.

64.252.79.51 will take you to the main page.
64.252.79.51/general/guilds.html will take you to the list of guilds.
And so on and so forth. You may need to roll over links to see what you need to add on. This works for me in Firefox and Internet Explorer, and should work anywhere else.

Yup, stupid DNS follies again. Use the IP for now, like everyone's saying, and I'll take care of the DNS thing in the morning, when the hosting company is open again.

It'll probably be in its current, semi-borked state for another 24 hours or so, then should be fine. Could be less hours, I don't know. I think I'll change hosting providers for DNS now. I meant to do it last time this happened, but I forgot. Anyway, things should be back to normal soon.
