Newbie Addict

Ok, so, my husband started playing Arm way before he and I met, and after years of watching him play, I decided to duck in and check it out. I have had my first charcter for about a month now. I am soooo addicted. At first my husband was a bit upset because Arm was "his thing". So I tried out a few others, Achaea, Toril, Nodeka... But I could not get into them at all. I love the things that have set Arm apart from the other games I have tried. The think and feel commands, the fact that you don't automatically see other peoples names, the strictly enforced roleplay. I naturally told my best friend about it. And another person is now addicted. So, thanks.

No one on staff is just waiting for the opportunity to get revenge on someone who killed one of their characters years ago.

Except me. I remember every death. And I am coming for you bastards.

Welcome to Crackageddon, we're glad to have you and your friend both :)

Welcome and enjoy!  This place is great...  you'll love it, you'll hate it, and you will cry.  Trust me...

Since she's married, she's probably used to it all already  ;)

Don't enter the Labyrinth.
They don't call it the Screaming Mantis Tavern to be cute. It's called foreshadowing. First there's screaming, then mantis head.

We thank you in advance for your boots.

We couldn't do it without people like you :)

(Honest. It'd suck without any players!)

We also have the coolest staff.  8)

Where else would staff members come post welcome in a newbie thread?

Agreed. There's a lot of laughter too, though.

Welcome!  The learning curve may seem steep at times, but there are so many things to discover and characters to meet.

I must admit, my friend and I were playing and I had one of the funniest ever episodes of LOLing. Him too. We still talk about it.

Maybe I am the exception, but never cried at all while playing Arm. Maybe its cause I am as emotional as a grapefruit?
But, yes Arm has lots of good plots and politics.

I don't cry.  But my hands shake.
The sword is sharp, the spear is long,
The arrow swift, the Gate is strong.
The heart is bold that looks on gold;
The dwarves no more shall suffer wrong.

I get some pretty hardcore hand-shakes at tense moments, yeah.

I doubt I'll ever be crying with my current character.   But I cried a lot with my last one because she was a big crybaby.  :P

I've laughed a lot at the keyboard. I get the hand-shake times, too, during really intense scenes. I was a little emotional at the death of one of my characters, but never cried. It's definitely quite a ride, regardless.

I haven't cried, so far. I've felt bitter as hell. Hands've shaken. Been left with the blood pulsing through my face.

Tis about it.

Welcome to Armageddon.
