You know how when you view a backpack or a bag at a marketplace and it tells you:

It could probably hold around # stones.

Yeah, do that with waterskins. Except, use gallons, since that's the IG measurement for liquids. Thank you Tisiphone

Agreed. It's frustrating to not be able to tell how big a liquid vessel is or compare it to another liquid vessel.

Yes. Not out to be nasty, but I've noticed the OP has a habit of trying to pique curiousity rather than just spelling the topic out in new postings.

Ironically enough, I was just having a problem with the judgement of amount of water said item could contain, so I poured my waterskin in it and used that as a basis for how much water it was capable of holding.
