Chanting in unison

Here's something that could add some flavor to RP: being able to sustain a slow chant.

The barrel-chested man begins chanting, in sirihish:
"Go Tek go! Go Tek go!"

The petite spike-haired woman joins in the barrel-chested man's chant!

The barrel-chested man and the petite spike-haired woman chant, in sirihish:
"Go Tek go! Go Tek go!"

The tall, hook-nosed man joins in the barrel-chested mans' chant!
The greasy, rotund man joins in the barrel-chested man's chant!

A few voices chant together, in sirihish:
"Go Tek go! Go Tek go!"

You join in the barrel-chested man's chant!

You chant, along with several others, in sirihish:
"Go Tek go! Go Tek go!"
> stop
You stop chanting.

It could contribute to the atmosphere in a number of cases. How about a group of mages chanting together as the skies darken? Or a ritual ceremony among a desert elf tribe, welcoming a new adult to the tribe?
Lunch makes me happy.

>chant Go, Tek, Go!

>chant Go, Tek, Go!

>shout Everybody now!

>chant Go, Tek, Go!

>chant Go, Tek, Go!

>chant I like kanks!

Neat idea, but handing over control of your voice to another character sounds a little problematic to me.  I'd just as soon>emote joins in with %fanboy chant

Though, I suppose you could pre-define the chant and codedly not allow it to change.
>chant Go, Tek, Go!

You start chanting, in sirihish:
    "Go, Tek, Go!"

>chant

You chant, in sirihish:
  "Go, Tek, Go!"

The tall, muscular man joins your chant.

>chant

You and the tall, muscular man chant, in sirihish:
  "Go, Tek, Go!"

>cease

You stop chanting.

You could also have a similar command called 'chorus' so the whole tavern can sing the chorus of a song.

What about when the original chanter decides to change the chant?

I could see possible abuse of this.

There would need to be some sort of "change chant" command, and then the former chant-ees would have to re-chant with the original chanter.  Otherwise, you would get this, following the above event.

The barrel-chested man begins to chant, in sirihish:
"Muk Utep rules!  Muk Utep rules!"

A few voices chant together, in sirihish:
"Muk Utep rules!  Muk Utep rules!"

A blue-robed templar glares at a group of chanters.
A blue-robed templar utters an incantation.

This seems like a lot of work for a pay-off that would be fairly minor to me. That said, one thing that would be cool if someone did put something like this in place would be the ability to chant in unison and build up magical spells, i.e. have a spell that took three Rukkians, or perhaps a representative of each element, chanting in unison to cast.
