Three Little Words...

Started by Sanvean, October 11, 2006, 02:41:46 PM

If you were to list the three words that symbolize Armageddon to you, that convey what keeps you playing, what would they be?

I don't know about three words that encompass everything, but "dynamism" was one that immediately popped into my head.
Brevity is the soul of wit." -Shakespeare

"Omit needless words." -Strunk and White.

"Simplify, simplify." Thoreau

Immersion.

Secrecy.

Brutality.

Quote from: SpoonA magicker is kind of like a mousetrap, the fear is the cheese. But this cheese has an AK47.

depth, challenge, verisimilitude

Amos, tall, and muscular.

Kidding of course.

For me it would be immersive, brutal, and intrigue
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Nobody has said 'Murder, corruption, betrayal...' yet.

Real. Emotional... Orgasmic?

Or just 'FTW'.

Arm is evil.  And I love it.  It's like the softest, cuddliest, happy smelling teddy bear in the world, except it is stuffed with meth needles that inject you everytime

Meaningful - I like how the game really has meaning.
Story - Everything and everyone in the game has a story behind them (or, I like to think of it this way.)
Roleplaying - Some of the best roleplaying I've ever seen.

Brilliant.

Immersive.

Darwinian.
I seduced the daughters of men
And made the death of them.
I demanded human sacrifices
From the rest of them.
I became the spirit that haunted
And protected them.
And I lived in the tower of flame
But death collected them.

I find it very interesting somehow that some people take three isolated words and some people take a three-word phrase.

First thing that comes to mind for me:

Down and out - the part of a character's life where I usually have the most fun.

jmordetsky is cool.

Welcome to Armageddon
your mother is an elf.

For me, the 3 most important things that keep me hooked onto Arm are:

1) Constantly-evolving-world

2) Ever-increasing-realism

3) Labyrinthine-plotlines

and last but not the least

4) hyphenated-words are a-ok !!
