Do they recieve every combat skill, or can they branch?

They do not start with every combat skill.  There is plenty for them to branch.

I am not %100 sure, but I believe that all the main guilds branch a few skills along their carreer. Just play along with your warrior and at the end you will see new skills poping up in your list. Also I suggest you read the help files for warrior, just pay attention to in between the lines. There you will find some hints about possible future branches.

In combat.. warriors melt faces. Nuff said.
A staff member sends you:
"Normally we don't see a <redacted> walk into a room full of <redacted> and start indiscriminately killing."

You send to staff:
"Welcome to Armageddon."
