Hmm...I think I know why they called it a mekillot. Me-Kill-alot. I was in the salt flats collecting some salt when this mekillot walks up and kills me in one hit. Is that normal. I mean damn ONE hit...that sucked.

Mekillot                                                           (General)

  Gigantic behemoths, these lizards are many times the size of an inix, and
often where six inix were required to draw a given argosy, only one mekillot
suffices. In the wild they are extremely dangerous, being known to take out
entire squadrons of ill prepared travelers in the salt flats. However, one
carefully skinned carcass can provide shell, meat, bone, and remarkably
tough hide for a huge number of people. Because of their danger in the wild
(though with an appetite to suit their size), a very few mekillots are
raised from birth as beasts of burden to draw the wagons of the filthy rich.
They are believed to feed primarily upon the local Salt Worms.

  Exceedingly large dunes in the desert have been named after these beasts,
and their hide and chitin are valuable in the production of some armors.

Then he met a mekillot and I realized he couldn't.

Let me paint a picture for you...

Picture a lizard about the size of your house.  Now picture it twice as big.  Now picture it twice as big again.  Now, it stomps on you.  What do you think your chances of surviving are?

In other words, as has been said already, this is normal.
