BANNED?

What sort of things would result in a banned account. My account was banned, and I am not sure what exactly I did wrong. I was wondering if people could give me a few examples of what could do it... would it be because I played on our computers at school(I am with the ARM club at my school and a select few of us play at school... some of the creators of the club refuse to play at the school because they don't want to associate with our poorer roleplay, that is what they joke about anyways) Is that the reason why? Or is it because I killed an NPC for money.
