Whispering to someone in "gone" status

When you whisper to someone who is gone, it sends you their gone status.

When in the heck did this change happen?  Or am I totally oblivious to a feature that's been around a while?

People keep telling me that you get a PC's gone message when you interact with them, but I've yet to see it happen! Does it not work when the person is in your clan or something?

Whisper is the only command that this works for.  I say that it ought to work for more commands.

I think it might work for "tell" also.

I'd like it to work with more commands also.  ESPECIALLY contact.

Pretty sure it used to work for tell & whisper (direct in-room communication commands), although I don't believe it ever worked for targetted emotes, says, etc.  I suppose if it works at all, it should probably work for psi's and any targetted command; let the command go through, but let the output start with "The bone-headed man is gone fishin'." *shrug*
