Two things:

1) Is killing someone for a minor insult really a very realistic thing to do?  There is harsh and then there is psychopathic.  Is your character a serial killer to do such a thing?

2) You can always take a moment to say something like an OOC reference to the helper's web page or a link to helpful documentation for a brand new player.  There is a massive difference between OOC and IC hostility.

That said, I'm locking this thread because I think that everything useful has been said and said again...and said again.
