How do you look at tattoos? What's the syntax?

Also, doesn't this seem odd:

<right ankle>            a  tattoo of a nude woman
<worn on feet>           a pair of supple black boots

The boots are covering the feet so how can anyone see what's on their ankle? Like a cloak covers your shirt, a boot covers your tattoo...

The problem there is not all footwear covers the ankles, like sandals for example. Generally I just RP around not being able to see things that seem illogical like that.

Or work around it by wearing a bandana or jewelry over the 'ankle' location.
