Heights and Weights of NPCs

I guess we dont notice the height/weight of an NPC most times. But in places like the rinth, where everyone is cloaked, and the figures are described (usually) by their heights - its jarring to note that an NPC is of one height during the current reboot - and a different height in the next reboot.

I'm not sure what causes this change in height/weight....but I've noticed many times over reboots that the same PCs load with different heights/weights.

Seems pretty obvious to me... they're randomized. After all, you can't expect builders to set a height and weight for every NPC they design; that would be tedious. But I agree, it would be better if the game designated a random weight and height the -first- time the NPC was loaded (e.g., when it was first created), and then thereafter kept the same weight and height for it.

Didnt seem pretty obvious to me, but I'll take your word for it....seems like you know about what would be "tedious" for a builder to do.....

On that note, it would be really funny, if you checked up on Tektolnes during one of the weeks and found him as : The very short figure in a magically-transparent cloak, and the next week find him as : The very tall figure in a magically-transparent cloak.

Tell tek (chuckling slightly) Hey bud, you bought a pair o' those height-increasing in-soles Kadius has been marketting lately? Sure makes yer short ass figure look taller!

Correct - this is randomized.  We've recently written a program to "store" our desired height/weight so that they'll load with the desired height/weight, but only set them on NPCs that are used often, ie clan npcs.  Too tedious to go through 3,000+ npcs to set them individually.
