A funny thing just happened to me... I was walking around with my character in a pretty dangerous area in Zalanthas, when a SYSTEM message beeped in the headphones I was wearing at full volume!.... you know what 'beep' I'm talking about :) ... for a split second I thought my character just got killed, and my heart went from 0 to 60 in 0.0003 seconds :) Simply terrifying :)

Yeah, Armageddon has done for that beep sound the same thing that GTA3 did for the sight of a police cruiser.

Your char is in a nice quiet place and needs to rest IC.. Then you switch to mIRC and start reading the conversation from the start. *BEEP* You quickly switch to the client lightning fast -OMG OMG- then relax, cursing to the mIRC beeps for half an hour.

So.... were you resuscitated? I mean.... were you effectively dead prior to that 'beep'? If so, YOU should be thankful.
