A taming question

I searched the website but still couldnt find it out.
Is taming a skill?
The only thing i heard is this ability can be used by rangers.
and how is that?
I am not talking about the rp of it, but how can one tame a beast with code?

just try to mount a wild animal?
or type: tame beast?
