Hiring Time is here again, now accepting staff applications

We're going through another round of picking staff members, and last
time the application process worked out very well for us. If you are
interested in being on staff, please send me the answers to the following
questions:

1. Why do you want to be on staff?

2. How much time do you think you will be contributing in a normal week?
Do you have time constraints that will affect when you are online, or any
life-changing events that will remove your ability to log on.

3. What do you think you will bring to the game? What areas of expertise,
both in-game and out, do you have? What would you like to work on?

4. What are your expectations for being a staff member? How do you
think being on staff would affect the way you play as well as the way you
interact with players?

5. What three things would you change about the game?

6. How would you describe yourself in online interactions?

7. Do you work well with other people? How thick-skinned are you? Can
you take feedback without feeling defensive?

8. What's your mud experience like? What other games have you played?
Have you worked as a staff member on any game before?

9. What do you think the most important thing you've brought to game
right now?

10. What's your favorite feature of the game, and why?

Deadline for this round of staff picks is 3/6/2004. Email your app to
nessalin@armageddon.org.

REMEMBER TO INCLUDE YOUR ACCOUNT NAME.

Thanks to everyone that applied for staff, we got 14 applications this round and it is nice to see such a big turn out.   We'll be spending about a week letting the staff comment on applications before picking people to interview for the open spots.

Having just looked through a bunch of the apps, I must say I'm kinda dreading having to choose, because, as with the last batch, I can tell that there are more good people than we've got openings.

I've emailed out replies to the staff apps - if you applied and didn't get your reply, please let me know. At least one email has bounced so far, so I'd like to remind people to keep the email on their accounts up to date.

Our next time is to interview people this weekend and then select the new staff from the interviewees.

There were some great apps, and deciding who to interview was very hard. I'm sad to say no on a number, and hope those folks will apply again.
