character reports and death

Is it true that staffers sometimes wait for a character that has made a character report to die so that they don't have to resolve the request?

No.  I've had cases though where folks put in a character report, I go to look at it next day, and they are dead.  Which really sucks to see, and makes me sad.  I like character reports and I answer all the Unclanned ones right now.
