In addition to the removal of the concept of a "Resource PC", the follow are the updated rules for staff avatars (their mortal character).

1)  You may not be in a leadership position, this includes templars, nobles, GMH family/leader, Byn/militia sergeants or the equivalent. For this use case, leader means anyone who has the power to hire/fire, or can enforce serious punishment on others in their clan. Examples that would not be allowed: Bashurit Thasik, Salarri Crew Leader, Player Clan Leader. Examples that would be allowed: Tribal mages as long as they're not also leaders, noble aide, Byn First Trooper, Militia corporal.

2)  You may not play a sorcerer.  With the new sponsorship required, the two player slots are enough of a workload on staff

3)  You may not play a psionicist.  It is too difficult to always remember where you learned a piece of information, whether from your staff account or your psionicist.  They have the ability to know too much.

4) You may not play a character in a role or clan that falls under the purview of the team you staff over.
For example, if you are on the Southern Team, you cannot play in any clans/roles in the clans listed for that team.  You can, however, play an independent character who visits or lives in Allanak.  Or for example, if you are on the Indy Team, you cannot play a desert elf, but you are not restricted from any physical areas of the game, and you can play unclanned independents.

4a)  You should not seek out to have significant interaction with PC's that you staff over.
For example, if you are on the GMH Team you can order items from the GMH, but you must avoid involving yourself in their plots as much as possible.

5) Staff are not to be logged in as both their staff avatar and their mortal character at the same time, regardless of staff rank.  While playing a mortal character, you must log off your staff avatar.  Exceptions to this allow for an Administrator or Producer to log on their staff avatar at the same time to take care of a specific staff-related task, and then log back out once completed.  If you need the assistance of another staff member and they are playing their mortal character, message them in Discord or via staff send.

We have updated Rule 4 above to be more clear for staff who oversee the Independents and GMH Teams.  The old rule was:

4)  You may not play a character who primarily operates in the region you staff in.  For example, if you are Southern Team, you may not play in the south as a regular thing.  If your character needs to go there sometimes, that's fine, but it should not be your main 'base of operations'.
