Appreciation post for the current staffing team
« on: March 16, 2023, 07:19:02 AM »
Thank you.

I've seen the changes you made, by appointing a new team, added a mod team on Discord, implemented new and clearer rules and slowly but steadily address each great concern.

I understand these things take time. Not only to discuss and come with a proper solution, but also because being staff is NOT a full time paid employee for Armageddon.

Staff has a life besides the game and with all that's written down and complained about, it just takes a lot of time to digest everything and come with a proper response.

I too don't agree with everything done by staff in the past. Or rather, certain staffers. But I feel the current attempts of staff to sate the player base have been overlooked and overwhelmed with all the different opinions of current and older, retired players.

Staff, I see you. You're doing a great job. You're trying.

And I, for one, appreciate that.

This.

It might get lost in the shuffle, but Iloya is 100% right.

I like to think that everyone has the same goal: a great game that everyone can feel safe in playing and confident in the inherent fairness of it's staff.  Even if the game itself is not at all about those things.  My thanks to the brave souls volunteering to try to make that happen.

I need to put it out there right now, thank you for our moderator team and also all the staff members that have gone through all this crap right now and are still here to keep it going.  Also thank you to the players that are playing, we appreciate you and we wouldn't be here without you.

Same guys.   I haven't really gotten involved in the discussions but I love this game, and I love the interactions I get with players and for the most part and appreciate that unpaid people who love this game just as much as I do are actively trying to make it better for everyone.   A few apples doesn't ruin the bunch and like Iiyola, I see you and appreciate what you are doing for us.

Cheers

Agree! Much love to everyone putting effort in!

I'm eager myself to have the game back and full of life again obviously, so I'd also like to see everyone at the table that wants to be. But that doesn't mean I'm knocking the people trying to get us there.

Iiyola hit it right on the head.

Despite the loud winds of criticism, remember there are quite a few of us who are quite appreciative of the difficult jobs you're doing - without even getting paid for it.

Your efforts do not go unnoticed, much less unappreciated.

This.

It's important to remember that most of us I think want everyone to be happier and a lot of is trying to protect people from themselves in a way - there's definitely been (from my observation, and I know I'm not the only one who has been investigating) lessons learned, and...

I believe people are really trying to make things better, and I think it's very brave.

I sent in appropriate words via request tool.

Though, I do hope the continued activity Halaster continues to be active despite the seeming absence.

That's a name I think someone many on all sides everywhere in even far corners and those who are no longer here with have often good words about, the past recent period especially.

Negative things always stick out like a sore thumb. Its always much harder to listen to the positivity speaking up in the room.

Mistakes have been made.  Fuck, some BIG mistakes.

But I appreciate a lot the personal time given to try and make these things right, aswell as everything staff has been working on behind the scenes to improve the game prior to this shitshow.
Keep it up boys and gals, shit sucks right now but we're in a good path.

Snap! Let's all talk about the staff that have done great shit for the game and all of us who love the game. I'll start old, the first to turn me on long ago. Oh, he shall not be named. Shit. Uhm, Sanvean is next and even more, Nessalin is there, Halaster is there, and should stay please. And well shit, have been many great storytellers and staff before. I can't remember all names now. But, I am sure I will have near equal great admiration for staff that are here and now. Thank you all for holding this game together, for so many years of my life.
