ahoy staff, I have posted this question before but as your ranks wax and wane it's fun to ask again:

How did you pick your staffname?

Gosh... I cannot really remember fully.  Ath as in Athas I think was what I did due to my love of Dark Sun.
Ourla:  You're like the oil paint on the canvas of evil.

Mine comes from a Rukkian stone mage I had way, way, way back in the day.  He revered the silt, because of the calming way Ruk shifted and swelled within it.

"Shalooonsh" is the word I came up to describe the sound of a silt tide crashing on a sandy shore.
I seduced the daughters of men
And made the death of them.
I demanded human sacrifices
From the rest of them.
I became the spirit that haunted
And protected them.
And I lived in the tower of flame
But death collected them.

I started out as a builder. I wanted to be the goddess of building. So I googled it and came up with Hestia, goddess of home, hearth, and - building.
My GDB avatar is a picture of a Hestia statue somewhere.

I'll be quoted

but Hestia is right

Wanted something associated with creating things.

Dwarf that made Mjolnir with his brother, in Norse mythology.

I shamelessly stole it from D&D Forgotten Realms.

Stoled. It means 'night' in chichewa and was also the name of a hyena that I looked after.

Was the name of one of my first HnS chars. A ninja.

Katima means 'powerful daughter'. She was one of my first original characters, way back in the day when I would do paragraph style roleplay on phpBB boards. She was the daughter of a vampire lord that I created for a Legacy of Kain (a video game series) collaborative fan-fiction story.
