Test your Luck! [MRPT Saturday Feb 20th 6-8pm EST]

Come right up and test your luck! The Den of Wonders is hosting an event run by some local sorts seeking to establish their own gaming events. Those running the games will be there from 6pm to 8pm EST at the Den of Wonders, but there's no specific time you have to be there to enjoy playing some of Allanak's most popular games.

Games to be available:

Cutpurse, a betting dice game
Life and Limb; A card game involving matching suits and elements to a central card.
Darts (though technically this is always available)

Life and Limb:

Summary: Match your suits and elements to an ever-changing central card. Once everyone passes, reveal your hand and count up points based on how well you match.

Rules:

1) In a two player game, each player is dealt 5 cards. In a 3 or 4 player game, each player is dealt 4 cards.

2) One central card is dealt on the table, visible to all players. Each player's hand is worth points based on how well their cards match the central card. For each card they have that matches an element, their hand is currently worth 1 point. For card that matches suit, they get 2 points.

3) First player opts to either pass, or permanently sacrifice a card from their hand to discard the central card and draw a new one from the deck. Doing so reduces their hand size for the rest of the round.

4) Play proceeds around the table until everyone passes, or the last card has been dealt to the center.

5) Once play ends, each character reveals their hand and announces their current point tally. For instance if the central card at the end of the game is A King of Suns, and you have one Sun card and one King card, you would reveal those cards and announce 3 points (one for the Sun, two for the King).

6) If the game has multiple rounds, first player shifts at the beginning of each round. Multi round games can be played for coins (open ended) or tournament style (until a single player wins two rounds).

Rules for Cutpurse: TBA

(If the player running this event wants to post the rules for Cutpurse, that'd be swell 8) )

I don't always act superior... but when I do it's on the forums of a text-based game

This event has concluded,

Thanks to everyone that dropped by! From the sounds of it we might be seeing more of these in the future, either planned or pop-ups.
