Can an old message be removed when someone tries to place a new one? I can't post a rumor to one of the city's boards because useless messages from July are clogging it up now.

Unfortunately, they have to be manually deleted.  One of the staff has taken care of one of the boards in-game. If there are others, feel free to drop a note to the mud.
