This idea is based on the notion that different lighting/visibility conditions affect different things like combat, crafting, etc. If this is NOT the case, this idea is irrelevant. There seems to have been OOC and IC discussion about lighting/visibility affecting different skills, so this is the idea.

Idea:
The idea is a command that displays the general state of lighting/visibility in a given room.

No light // The current equivalent of complete darkness
lighting
> You can't see a thing!

Some light // The equivalent of when it says you can't see a thing, but can still navigate and address shapes
lighting
> You can barely make out faint shapes.

Low Light
lighting
> The lighting here is dim.

Normal
lighting
> The area is well-lit.

(new idea) Bright? // This would rely on a new implementation, but perhaps for areas like salt, or high-sun in certain open areas where the light would actually be pretty bad. RECTIFIED WITH SUNSLITs or other things.
lighting
> The area is very bright, making it hard to see.
