Syntax for Using Smelling Salt Vials?

Mucking about with using a smelling-salt vial - help?

Syntax should be hold vial, followed by open vial, followed by use vial <target>

Technically the first two are interchangeable, but you have to have the vial in hand and open before you can use it on a target.
