Save Rooms and You

Here's a small idea -- it's more of a social request, that could perhaps be put into a help file somewhere (help SAVE?) if adopted as a courtesy.

Basically, there are a lot of save rooms tucked away in the Known (excluding apartments), and sometimes a character will adopt these rooms as a base.  This is super duper cool.  The problem is that when that character dies, the items and the ldesc that were arranged on them remain.  So, this has happened number of times, a cave that I came across two years ago has the same object in it, described as 'clearly showing signs of recent habitation' or something like this.  The first time, my character will think: Oh no!  The second, a RL year later, I will think: Uh, can't compute.  So I tend to just ignore such objects now -- but in general it is just a grey foggy area in terms of handling it IC.

So, what to do about it?

o Wish up, obviously, or file a report.

o But maybe a more general policy (social) would be, once you die, fire off a quick request to staff telling them that the items in that save room probably should perish or at least the arrange flags on them should be changed.

o Potentially, you could just do an 'ooc ignore this' then junk all the items, if you are positive this is just old junk.  But I'm never -quite- positive.  Who knows, maybe whoever left that pillow with blood on it IS still there 2 RL later bleeding on pillows.

Maybe there are other ways people handle these situations, or other ideas.

as IF you didn't just have them unconscious, naked, and helpless in the street 4 minutes ago

Idea: ignore it.

If it's really been there that long, it's probably an item that is hard-saved in the zone, so it repopulates every reboot now.

I just assume some vnpc has been there. Much like they can be anywhere else.
Counting all the assholes in the room...

                                                     Well...
                                                                       I´m definitely not alone!

I remember a room that had a huge capacity for junk, because for the three out of four times I'd been there it looked like a raider dwarf had taken all the backpacks and stuff from people and just thrown in twenty peoples' worth of raiding. Miraculously, the last time I went there it had been cleaned, with maybe five items left. Over the course of half a year. I think people tend to fix these things on their own.
Do yourself a favor, and play Resident Evil 4 again.

I sometimes interact with the objects and change their ldesc to reflect my tinkering.  Then I come back later to see what has happened.  It can be a fun game.
Sitting in your comfort,
You don't believe I'm real,
But you cannot buy protection
from the way that I feel.

I am in your save room, touching your things.

A big red button is here, begging to be pushed.

I've also long wanted to give the Farside Mobster threat "Next time it won't be your living room we rearrange" in game.
