Every day I'm playing at this time (server time) the game kicks me off and doesn't let me log back on til 6:02.

Is this normal? is it doing a quick save or reset of some kind? Does this happen to everyone or just me?  Kind of worrisome when I'm engaged in combat.

Correct.  6am is when we do the daily database hot backup which we need to recover the datatbase in case something happens.  It does take about 90 seconds to complete which isn't something we can avoid.
