This game/MUD is seriously addictive. I mean I'm not sure if its because I meet all kinds of people in Allanak. Interesting people. Not sure if it's because we all play a role. Not sure if its because the harshness and grittiness and knowing you die, you die for real affects this. Not sure if its because this game is hardcore hard but also easy to be swallowed in it. Or maybe its because I've been lucky to play in very active organizations/clans/houses. I'm not sure why or what it is but I can't stop playing this. I forgo playing Xbox 360 console games for this.

Note: Been playing Role Playing Games since I'm 10 and I'm 32 now. Turning 33 soon. I have blessed with a family, a beautiful and great wife and two beautiful kids. I'm an Army Vet pending medical discharge with a serious medical disabilities that do not allow me to work due to severity of injury physically and emotionally, and due to strength of medication I take. I've played two very long lived characters and I generally keep learning IC because I read forums a LOT. I just don't post often unless absolutely necessary and learn -everything- IG. But this is as satisfying as playing Dark Souls and far more satisfying then any MMO/MUD I've played and I'm a WoW Vet and an IRE MUD Vet. And this... This has swallowed me far, far, far deeper then those two. And believe me I was a serious WoW and IRE Vet/player. Even programmed a whole system for the IRE MUD and was clan supervisor with my Retadin. This thing is far more addictive with all its nuances and I just keep learning more and more things IG!

Your poll is a bit loaded, by the way.

What does that mean? Are the question to answer ratio wrong?

The answers assume that some state of addition is always present.
Aside from being an incorrect assumption, it's bad data collection procedure due to the natural bias.

It's called denial, Riya.  It looks like someone is in need of an intervention. ;)

Don't lose any sleep over it. Not everyone is as refined as I am.

I don't always act superior... but when I do it's on the forums of a text-based game

Just make sure to prioritize the real world!

It is very easy, as with hardcore WoW raiding, to let highly immersive roleplaying games take over far, far too much of your time.

Don't listen to those cats, give in to the addiction!  :D

Vennant doesn't appear to age because he serves drinks at the speed of light. Now you know why there's no delay on the buy code in the Gaj.

That's only cause you get in serious trouble for killing that damn breed for annoying you in the real world. If it wasn't for that, who'd need roleplaying games?
Life sucks, then you die.

I think its because of the role playing experience. It's probably more addictive the more people you can interact with.
