You know you are addicted to Arm when ...

You swap with anyone you can anytime you can on first shift so that you can be on for the peak time playing.
A staff member sends you:
"Normally we don't see a <redacted> walk into a room full of <redacted> and start indiscriminately killing."

You send to staff:
"Welcome to Armageddon."

Then you think 'what a job fair in Zalanthas would look like'? when you are standing and talking 5 hours in a RL one. Then you think too hard and mix IG info in, and mention RL that a perk of the job is an abundance of water.

You should definitely work at camp this summer there is free accommodations, free food and an abundance of water.

> The would be potential employee gives you a strange look.

think Blast.

You lift weights every morning/evening before playing to get in character for a muscular character. Oh well, I suppose it's good, since it encourages me to exercise. Though I'm still a looooong way before I can consider around 150 stones to be easily managable :P

Clans can give stat bonuses and penalties, too. The Byn drop in wisdom is particularly notorious.

When you are too busy playing to go lift wieghts

When you think getting thrown in jail in Arm. is a foreboding of getting caught by the police in RL......wish I hadn't thrown all of my oregano away now. ;D

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a mental disorder most commonly characterized by intrusive, repetitive thoughts resulting in compulsive behaviors and mental acts that the person feels driven to perform, according to rules that must be applied rigidly, aimed at preventing some imagined dreaded event; however, these behaviors or mental acts are not connected to the imagined dreaded event.

I lift weights when my character does ;) I've already gone up to 20 repetitions of 6 kg with each hand per gaming session.. someday I should be able to swing one of those 6-stone maces :P

When you look at the small little drawstring bags, and think: That couldn't hold more than 20 stones.

Or: When you throw a pen, at your friend and miss.....and he looks at you and says: "And that's why throwing is a skill." (no lie, this happened tonight)

When another your character's loved ones die...

... and you cry watching the character mourning. For the 8th time.

This is so pathetic. Like watching some sappy movies. Only I don't like watching romance and never cry during them. Not even in Titantic!

Don't piss me off. I'm running out of places to hide the bodies.

Well.  I had my first Arm-nightmare last night, which must officially mean that I think about the game too much.

In my dream, I received an e-mail from the staff.  A HUGE e-mail.  The e-mail was a list of every command I had entered in a 48 hour period with a one paragraph analysis of each command, whether the command was done according to the rules and the standards of good RP, and blunt suggestions for what I should have done instead.

Issues much?

Sheesh.

You go south and one of the other directions that isn't north.  That is seriously the limit of my geographical knowledge of Arm.
Sarge?

I had a dream, a few months after playing, that my first character got killed. I wound up walking through this grassy park and talking with Sanvean as I was walking. She explained that I could get the character rezzed, but when she came back she'd be a whiran/vivaduan. I was like 'Oh, neat, I bet I could have fun RPing the breakdown -there-.'

Well, we keep on walking and just across this little bridge I see her sitting on the grass, hair streaking down in her face. She's looking down at her hand in horror as water pours out from her palm and then the wind picks up until it sounds like it's screaming as she sobs like a baby. I turn to make some smartass comment and Sanveans gone and suddenly I -am- my first character. I get scared to death and wake up amazed.

No one on staff is just waiting for the opportunity to get revenge on someone who killed one of their characters years ago.

Except me. I remember every death. And I am coming for you bastards.

My own mother.

When you play live action Arm with your six year old nephew...
When you hands tremble when you narrowly escape any almost death situation in game.
When you convince  your entire family over the age of 16 to play.
(thats more of an Arm cult)
When you go out an find a job that allows you to play half the day two days a week, and all day and night the other five.
(and still pay your bills)
When you figure out how to make arm pay for your real life. (still working on this one, but it may happen)

I often hear the jingle to -Riunite on ice- when I read the estate name Reynolte, eve though there ain't no ice in Zalanthas.

You use Ivory brand soap when you are playing in Tuluk.

And Lava brand when you play in Nak.
