Every time I see a new picture, gif or video of Kangaroo's I'm convinced they have human-level intelligence. Well, this one's got the brains and the brawn!

New karma race:  Kanga.

Has a racial ability hop that outpaces elves running in desert terrain.

Has a free pouch slot in the stomach.

Bonus to brawl code.

Desert eagles are gas powered? Do you fill them with gasoline before you shoot them? That seems inconvenient.

I think a lot of guns are "gas-operated"

He frequently pops up in my Armageddon playlist on Pandora. I really like all his stuff. (It's an instrumental station, good for my brain.)
And then I sat there going "really? that was it? that's so stupid."

I still think the best closure you get in Armageddon is just moving on to the next character.

If I'm not laughing at my own posts I'm probably consciously trying to be an asshole to someone. So it's probably a good thing.

If you move fast in circles gravity increases inward, crushing you. If you move fast in a straight line, at first gravity will push inward, but eventually gravity's effect on you slowly diminishes until you are weightless. There a proverb or a metaphor in that, but that's not the direction that interests me...

So, you're cruising along at the speed required to escape the pull of the earth, but you want to go further out... You escaped the pull of Earth, but not the Sun. You still have to move faster to escape the pull of the Sun, and even faster still to escape the pull of the Milky Way itself. We're glued to their pulls, our earth in the exact position it should be while under the effects of these pulls. It makes you wonder how much pull the Sun has from this far out. It you consider the vastness of space, our distances relative to our sizes... it must be pretty small. Yet it tugs the earth along this orbit. Our seasons, our years, our very planet is hanging on a thread of gravity many times weaker than even the gravity of the moon.

So firstly, neither of those forces is gravity.  Gravity is a very specific force generated by mass.  Those forces you describe are generated by your own acceleration, presumably due to the propulsion system of your space-ship.

0.0059 m/s^2

That is to say, if you held an object stationary, not orbiting, one AU (distance from Sol to Earth), in one second it would be moving at 0.0059 meters per second (towards the Sun), at two seconds 0.0118 m/s, and so on.

For reference, the acceleration due to gravity standing on Earth's surface is 9.8 m/s^2.  On the moon it's 1.622 m/s^2.  For being on the surface of the Sun, it would be 274 m/s^2.

It's really the vastness of space that's the important factor here.  If you had a model solar system and the Sun was a 1" marble, the Earth would orbit it 9' away.  That's a lot of empty space, compared to actually standing on a celestial body.
