Mount/Leading Suggestion

Ok, I'm not very eloquent but I'll list my problem and then my idea to fix things.

So, many of us have played PCs that have led a group somwhere.  Whether it be between settlements or out hunting.  Often we have had the fastest mount or a faster mount then the ones we are leading.  We also have had to deal with the headache of having one of them fall behind and then the lag they ensue because of it.  It's lame.  If I'm leading people I shouldn't have to count a few seconds between the directions I type.  I should as a player know that I need to go at a pace for all of them.  And yes I don't mean spamwalking with them... this shit still happens.

Somehow I think I know what incident spurred this on...

Anyway, I think perhaps there should be a command to pace your character/mount at the same speed as the slowest member of the group.  Maybe make it so that you can still move at normal speed--thus leaving people behind--but if you use a command like "pace set <target>", you can make sure that your character never outpaces that target as long as you lead them.

I still want to see increased movement lag.  Yeah, I know, but traveling is absurdly fast and I -constantly- fail to emote/talk before someone speeds through the room I am in.  I also would like to see "watch" and "follow" utilized together, so that if you are doing -both- you will follow someone even if you fall behind (so long as you can still see which way they move).  This would also be a "fix" that eliminates the need for a "chase" command, as so many have requested.

Doubtful.  I haven't led or been led by anywhere for a RL month most likely.  This is just something I've always disliked.

Well, regardless, I was in a situation where this was victimizing me (i.e. I was the slow one) just yesterday, so I was struck by the coincidence of it being brought up now.

Either way, it's more annoying than anything.  Like some sort of artificial way to slow people down or something.  I wouldn't be opposed to increased movement lag outside of cities at all, as long as things like falling behind in line are either done away with or have some way to prevent them.
