The Five G's:

Good women.

Good friends.

Good music.

Good books.

Good coffee.

Cassiebear curling up on my lap and taking a nap.

Mattmatt pulling off an amazing, smart-ass remark at such a tender age.

A memorable night of RP on Armageddon.

Receiving a raise.

Not being sick.  Not being sick.  Not being sick.  *clicks his ruby slippers three times then shakes his fist at fate that's plagued him with this shit for the last WEEK*

Wow. I looked up "Oxford Comma" on Google. I didn't know that use of a comma had an actual official name! I've been using this "Oxford Comma" since, hm, fourth grade maybe? Fifth? Something like that. Neat.

Pretty girls who appreciate the Oxford Comma.  *melts*

I love the Oxford comma. The rhetorical flow of the list dies without it.

Tee hee, simple things like the Oxford Comma! If appreciation of it does your heart good, here's an example for anyone who's never heard of it (like I hadn't) but doesn't feel like looking it up (like I did):

Not using the Oxford Comma:

My favorite foods are filet mignon, a thick port wine, cream cheese and peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches.

Reason why it is awkward:

That last part - do I like sandwich = peanutbutter + creamcheese + jelly? Or do I like creamcheese + (peanutbutter + jelly sandwiches)? Or weirder, is it (creamcheese + peanutbutter) + (jelly sandwiches)? It's an algebra problem. That Oxford Comma does for the sentence what parenthases do for algebra.

With the Oxford Comma:

My favorite foods are filet mignon, a thick port wine, cream cheese, and peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches.

Now you know. I do like cream cheese, but not in my peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches.

Finding out that the Oxford Comma has an official name.

Good-natured insult wars with friends who can actually fight back.

Tasteful, well-done nude photography.

Bass guitar.

When all my kittens lump all over each other and sleep in a PILE on one end of the couch.

Getting back in touch with old friends and finding out that nothing's changed.
And I vanish into the dark
And rise above my station

The Three F's

Fighting, Feasting, Fucking

Sadly probably in that order.

All of which could be found in Amtgard back when it was cool and less family oriented.  Whatever happened to the days of underage drinking and promiscuous sex?  I still remember, at seventeen years old, being handed a cup of half orange juice half everclear.  "What's in this?" I foolishly asked.  "Yeah, it's good for you." was of course the answer.  I thought someone set me on fire.  I couldn't even feel the air going into or out of my lungs.  I thought I was going to die.
Tryin' to make friends but people are jerks,
So I'm gonna put some fleas on you.
And the fleas'll have the plague,
And they'll make you cough a lot,
Then you'll be too sick to hurt my feelings anymore.

People who love the Oxford Comma. You are all a bunch of perfectionist, over-thinking nutheads. And I love you for it.
I'm gonna go all Gimfalisette on you guys and lay down some numbers.

I dunno if crazy-explicit awesome porno qualifies as an 'ordinary thing,' though, bro. It's pretty damn extraordinary.

The smell of oranges (which -always- makes me think of Christmas).

Finding a dollar in the laundry.

Petting the cat when he's lying in the sun and his fur is all warm.

A nice MLT - mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato is ripe...  they're so perky, I love that.

A year ago 9% of the entire internet was nothing but porn. Its grown since then I am sure.

Its as common these days as toilet paper, especially in Houston Texas. My friends from Kansas and Colorado who live here now joke about how where they are from a porn store was a big event, and here we literally have two every square mile, even in the suburbs.

Edited to add: This is not an advertisement for Texas....I know atleast half you just went.......think (excitied as his/her eyes grow wide) Texas sounds great, I wonder if I could move there............

I like the feeling I get when I listen to Queen's "It's a Kind of Magick" and "Who Wants to Live Forever."

I love the feeling of cruising over a sharp drop in a road just a bit too fast, where it feels like you've left your stomach behind for a moment.

I love the feeling of wet sand and mud between my toes, and the sun on my back.

I love sneaking peeks at Christmas presents, and being absolutely meticulous in the procedure, so it leaves no trace.

I like people watching at sports events.  I give a fuck about the sport, but I love how in to it the spectators get.

I love watching my monitor through a veil of smoke as several players sit around a table and just discuss things, while they smoke.

I love the laughter of my SO when I'm caught pronouncing things that a character or NPC is saying so I can get the feel and expression correct in text.

I love the feeling of a kudos.  Not just to me, or from me, but from anyone to anyone... the thought that a player is willing to let someone know that they have done well warms me within.

I love the sound of the death bing.  I love the smile of the mantis.

Above all, I love the fact that we're a community.  We don't all get along, we don't all agree, but most of us do work for the betterment of the environment that we all have grown to love.  We aren't just a bunch of quarrelling, bickering nation states, bent on controlling the last natural resources of... sorry, Fallout flashback there.  We aren't all dicks.

"I love you guys, man!"
"Man, shut the fuck up, man.  Why you always gotta ruin the moment?"
"Fuck you!"
-Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope
I seduced the daughters of men
And made the death of them.
I demanded human sacrifices
From the rest of them.
I became the spirit that haunted
And protected them.
And I lived in the tower of flame
But death collected them.

I just realized that I'm a total sucker for methodology, as applied to the mud or anything else in my life.

*GEEK*
"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.

"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."

"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.

"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

Me, too. :)

Added to that, I love that... "nostalgic memory feeling" you get sometimes when a certain song comes on the radio.

I love it when you've daydreamed about a thing happening... and it does.

I like the hair at the nape of a man's neck, especially if it's like little duck curls.

The first bite of pizza.

When someone mentions loving a book you love, especially when that turns into a long conversation about more of the same.

Three point shots that swoosh, and beautiful dishes that result in points.

Bruce Lee movies.

Yah, gotta be mighty lean for those to show up. Hmm, I have a new challenge! ;)

To add to the list

watching good TV shows like Heroes, Rome, or Lost on DVD, without commercials.  :D

freshly ground coffee brewed in a french press

sleeping in on Saturday after a long ass work week

living in NYC where it all happens first

Listening to Lateralus by TOOL on my system

my kitteh purring and wearing the kitteh smile after playing or pets

physical activity in all its glorious forms that makes me sweat

showering and eating (especially winterless' cooking) afterwards
