Make sure you type WRITE BOARD after you enter your BS, cause after that reboot last night I noticed two of them fell off, cause someone probably didn't do that.

i noticed once that someone had written something starting OOC and then the actual real world date of the event, in a separate paragraph after the IC board itself, which was relevant. is this okay to do on the boards as long as the RL date is relevant and useful? i thought it was a good idea.

The board isn't IC. IC = In Character. Since the vast majority of the population of Zalanthas can't read, then the post is not an in-character device. It is, however, an in-game device, designated with IG.

So the rumor itself, the information itself, is intended to be "heard" by your character. You, the player, need to be capable of interpreting the information, so you can decide whether or not it is pertinent to your character. And so, the inclusion of things like:

[OOC - things should start around 9PM, EST, Saturday July 23] are not only allowed, but pretty important.
