GDB Slowdown

I have been researching this a bit and with Rae's help did some DB work last
night that hopefully has helped. I'll keep looking into longer term solutions.

Further debugging has led me to believe it was the RSS feed causing the issue.

I have disabled that for now and we can all cross our fingers in hopes that
the board will be less laggy today as a result.
