My sword has goo on it

What about creatures that don't shed typical blood?  I know Zalanthas has a good population of weird insects.  How about weapons (and armor) splattered with insectoid fluids and just wholesale gore?   :)

Not a bad idea.  Maybe one day.

For the record, some of the insectoids do have blood. Though, not many.

You do not have that item.

You know, I'd always just kinda made the change in my head that bloodied = gory...or various types.

Salvageable goo, too.

Let's say you kill a snake that has wicked paralyzing venom in it's tummy, and your weapon get gooed. Cleaning the weapon could have a chance for paralyzing you, and of course slashing someone with it would have the same effect.

It might need a ranger / hunter / assassin to store/identify the goo.
Be the change you want to see in the world( of Armageddon).

Don't see that as being very likely. Most poisonous critters don't carry a sack in their tummy. Snakes venom is in glands in the roof of their mouth, scorpions a specialized sac in the tail, etc. Extracting the venom is what is going to be risky. Besides, if just killing a poisonous animal is going to give a chance of poisoning the weapon, you're going to have a lot of twinks who want poison weapons going out and trying to kill these things, just for that. Doesn't really make sense, or quite fit.

Now as to the origional topic.. I agree. Having a weapon coated in green/yellow/orange gore instead of just bloodied... Funny, plus a good idea.

It seems to me though, the 'goo' is still blood, just weird creature blood, so even while the code doesn't care to point out a difference, we still have the option of rping it how we like.

P.S. if someone else already said this I apologize for not really being awake enough to read the thread properly.

Yeah, right after a mudsex session I always thought: "You know, my sword should have a bit of g-...." Oh, you're talking about an actual sword. Whoops...
