Who's playing, who's just working?

As in - do we have avatars or are we just doing imm stuff?

I'm working.

I don't play anymore.  I have a limited amount of time for the game and I have more fun spending that time working on it.

Same boat as Raesanos.  Plenty of code projects available to keep me busy with what free time I have.

I wouldn't be here if I didn't also play a mortal.  I just love the game too much to not partake of it in that way.  Though, the majority of my time is spent doing Imm things.

Alas, I just don't have enough time to put into a role anymore.  And when I'm playing, I end up spending too much time checking typos or thinking about possible scripts or whatever.

Ditto.

I also continue to play because I think it helps me keep a "player's perspective".  Typically I'll pick a guild/sub-guild/race, etc. that I'm curious about or is related to a coding project that I'm working on and create a character to explore whatever it is that's piqued my interest.  The cliche "walk a mile in their shoes" applies here.  By playing I can see what's good, what's lacking, what's broken... essentially what other players are seeing and then I can go about addressing the issues I uncover.  I've been playing for over a decade now and I still discover new things about Armageddon with each character.  It's crazy.

Sadly, no.  I haven't played a "serious" PC this millenium.  Personally, I just found it too difficult to give as much to both the "player" role and the "staff" role as I wanted, and both tended to suffer as a result.  Nowadays I barely have time to keep up with basic staff responsibilities, but am fortunate that I can at least do -some- things as staff on limited time, while I would probably not play at all otherwise, at least right now.
