Biography formatting...

Maybe I'm just dense... but how do I write a biography entry and have multiple paragraphs while still using the .f command?

The way I do it is to write each paragraph individually into the game editor, then format them, and do a .s.

Then you paste that into your text editor and save it.

Once all your paraghraps are done, then you can put everything back in, properly formatted, and not have to do a .f

Or you could use .i instead of .f to format with paragraphs.  But don't use .i when writing your description, they hate that.   :P

The online text editor is a relatively simple device that is used to store long input from users. The following commands are available:

 /Rx
Remove x number of lines back from the cursor. There
must be at least x lines already in the buffer.

 !
Copy the last line (producing two identical lines).

 ~
End the editor and save the text.

 .c
   Clear the current string.

 .f
Format the current string to 80 chars wide.

 .i
Format the current string to 80 chars wide, indenting
three spaces at the beginning of paragraphs.

 .s
   Show the string so far.

 .p
Spell check the string. (not perfect)

 .d <command>
   Do the following command.
Treat the other man's faith gently; it is all he has to believe with."     Henry S. Haskins

I tried .i but it turned the entire thing into one giant indented paragraph.  How do I signal the editor that I'm starting a new one?

Write a paragraph, enter to go to new line.
Hit enter again to go to a new line and begin typing again (effectively making a blank line between the 2 paragraphs).  Repeat as many times as you like.
Then when you're done, type .i
