The Inexorable Wait

Started by Ak, May 29, 2005, 10:15:22 AM

First character, applied friday night, and am now dying of anticipation, waiting for either approval or rejection. I cant wait to get playing. Ive spent the time reading the documentation, and the more documentation I read the more twitchy I am to get started playing. Gheeeeeeee!

Anyone else get the jitters and twitches waiting for a new character, anticipating being able to plug in again (or for the first time)?

App'ed friday night, and still no reponse?  It's usually quicker than that, you may want to email the mud and ask if your application got lost.

Edit:  And yeah, I usually suffer physical symptoms of withdrawl when waiting between characters.
Murder your darlings.

Dude, you might want to email to to mud and ask if somehting happened.

It nearly always done in less than 24 hours.

Usually done in like, 10-12 hours or so.

The AIM might play some trick so it might take a little longer these days, but three days is something.
some of my posts are serious stuff

Don't forget that most of the IMM's are at the AIM, and are coming back today, so late responses and application reviews should be expected.  I've been waiting 4 days for a new password because of an e-mail change screwup.

About the feelings of post character application symptom, people normally get that with their first characters, a really exciting concept for a character, or when they're completely addicted.  Now, in a serious sense, I know that a lot of people here are addicted to Armageddon, because it evolves from just a simple way to pass the time, to your only way to pass the time.

I'm thinking maybe this delay on getting my new password is actually help in disguise.

Hey Ak, don't worry, but it'll probably be coming a little later. I made my first application for a character on -Thursday- night and I -just- now got my confirmation email. I'm off to plunge myself in. Here's to hoping I can survive for a day or so at least.

I just checked the application queue, and I don't see any new accounts.  You might check your email to make sure you didn't get the approval/rejection yet.  Try the junk folder - yahoo often puts armageddon.org emails there.
Ashyom

Just got mine a little bit ago.

welcome to the addiction..

A reminder that most of the staff has been at the AIM this past week.  If things seem slower then they usually do, it is because there have been less people to handle the day to day tasks.  Most people should be back by midweek.
brainz: it's what's for dinner.

Not only that, but in the USA it's a holiday weekend, so it's possible that a lot of people are gone because of that.
