Thanks for the pictures and the work it took to bring them to us. You are a great help to thoese who seek a better grasp of what the harsh and savage lands of Zalanthas look like.
'm so hot and thirsty
It's messing with my mind
I have not a drop of water
I think my time is short
I think it shall be my death soon
It smiles at me and winks
As the gith appear from the sand dunes

Definitely some nice pictures in here.  One thing I noticed:

QuoteWhy you can't see a tent in the marketplace during a sandstorm:
http://www.juliemasterson.com/Gallery/morocco/images/sandstorm.gif

In this picture, I can see a large dune, and other geography, that is obviously more than 100 yards away... What about being able to see a geographic structure 300 yards away demonstrates why tents in the marketplace can't be seen when you're touching them?  Surely the walls, buildings, and roads of the city would cut the winds down from those in the open desert, and even there, IRL, I have found visibility to be much more than I had expected.  In the same vein, I recommend checking out the Desert segment of the BBC's Plant Earth series to see some good examples of how visible things are in a sandstorm... And a whole lot of other neat shit. ;)

Also, most of these are on the submissions site, but I think there are a few bonus images as well:
