Title: Sand Storm in Iraq: April 26, 2005

Some interesting pictures... it really is like a wall of blinding sand... in one 'room' it is clear skies and fine... in another, blinding sandstorm!

You know we really should do something like.

Weather
It's hot, etc etc.
You see a massive sandstorm to the north.

Seconded. Its kinda frustrating to not see the blinding sandstorm just a few rooms from you.

That really is amazing, I always thought a sandstorm would just look like a cloud of sand, but it really looks like a massive wall.

On seeing those pictures... yeah, wow. I don't see how -anybody- could navigate in that without GPS.

Sometimes even the GPS fucks up, you just button up the humvee until it passes. Couple of hours or so. Most of the time you don't even get GPS heh, only good thing is that the radios still work fine so long as you got a good battery when you armed up in the morning.
