Title: How many things can you hitch?
Post by: MSM on July 22, 2004, 12:06:04 PM
Was thinking about creating a mount breeder, trader, nomaic herder type char. But I vaguely remember only being able to hitch one animal at a time.

Is that still the case?

In most cases, yes, you can only hitch one animal at a time. There is/are exception(s) but I am too lazy to check the documentation to find out if it's too IC to post or not.

I think this depends on who and what you are.

Some people have trouble towing their boat behind their car for a week-end on the lake. Skilled truck drivers though can drive a Road-Train (One cab + 3 or 4 trailers) across Australia.

From help skill ride:
Rangers and half-elves have a greater rapport with animals than do others.

From help hitch:
This command allows your character to lead a mount (or several mounts if you have enough familiarity with mounts) by the reins, as opposed to riding them.

I trust you can figure it out from there.

Additionally, it is not nessessary to hitch the animal that you are riding.
