I realize that in the Armageddon game world metal is rare. My question is, what about meteoric copper? The Indians of northern Canada made use of copper from meteors. Is there any provision for this in the game? If not, why?
Just curious.
I once saw some Copper in game. Once.
And another time, I saw some Bronze.
And one time, I saw some Iron.
And Silver, another time.
And once, just once, I saw some Gold.
But in regard to meteors? Shrug. Perhaps. I think there's been a quest once to recapture some lost item. Might be an interesting one to come up with.
Bronze means there's tin too then. :)
There are a variety of metals available, they are just rare. Really, really rare.
As for meteorite copper, that assumes that the rareness of metal is specific to Zalanthas, rather than to the universe as a whole, which is not necessarily a true assumption (who knows!).
This also assumes meteors fall frequently enough and aren't reduced to minute sand particles on their way down through the dense, sandy and dusty atmosphere. For now, meteors have not been a present force in the Known World of Zalanthas, so likely, meteoric metal ores may not have been discovered, if in fact they even exist.
Meteors and comets are real on zalthanas. Remember a few years ago the falling stars and the silt wave that destroyed redstorm?

Um...A little IC, if this actually occured. makes me wonder hehe.
I know they occur, as noted by Amish Overlord, but as far as IC events, I don't believe they have been frequent enough for people to get enough meteoric metals in any significant supply. That is why there's no provision for it in game, it's just not common enough to create actual code for mining meteors, because characters will likely never see a meteor.
I don't think it was a little Ic, it was a world wide event and would seem to me to be common knowledge, like the fall of tuluk and its destruction. Maybe bob the nomad on the edge of the tablelands might not know but seems like general knowledge to me.
