Title: Movement Dillemma
Post by: Precarious on June 20, 2024, 12:21:20 PM
If one has climbed to an area they cannot rest, and are too exhausted to move in any direction with no way to regenerate movement points, does one just simply wait until they die of thirst at this point?

If your character is stuck, I would suggest to reach out to the staff of the game using the wish command.

https://www.armageddon.org/help/view/Wish

Wish                                 (Staff Communication)
The wish command allows you to directly communicate with staff in the game. All logged-in staff can
see wishes, but they may not always be able to assist immediately. Use the wish command sparingly.

However, if you are a new player and find yourself stuck or struggling, please do not hesitate to use it
for help.

For experienced players, reserve the wish command for questions that cannot be answered in the
game, via the request tool, through help files, through in-character questions, or by asking players
on the community Discord.

I have typed "rest" and just hoped I didn't die from the fall before.

There's a known bug in a couple of rooms where "rest" won't allow you to rest at all. You're basically just stuck there, because you can't regen stamina to move, and you can't rest.

Does "sit" work to trigger a fall in these rest-less rooms? Or double-hand wielding a weapon? Those are things I'd try.

But also the 'wish up' advice is good advice.

Crawl <direction> with a really long lag could solve some of this. Just make it take 0 movement regardless of terrain.

I have long loved the idea of a 'crawl' option.

I would also buy a 'carry' or 'drag' option to be able to move fellow friends without ' subduing them'. Please

nosave subdue sort of handles this. A friend can use that to elect to not resist your subdue, which will also prevent you from being crimcoded for grabbing them.
