Hey, just wanted to let you all know I was notified (by Apple) that a very old password I used to use for the MUD website was exposed in a data breach. I don't know when it supposedly occurred (it could be old info) or how large it was/was not, or even if it was truly specific to the MUD. But I wanted to let you guys know, in case you want to change your passwords. FWIW
Are you saying that Apple specifically mentioned ArmageddonMUD in the notification?
No, Apple said "the password you just typed in has been spotted in a data breach"
Google will say this as well, if you use old passwords that have been caught in data breaches.
You can go to this website here:
https://haveibeenpwned.com/
And see if your data has been stolen and made public.
Apple tied it specifically to an (outdated) MUD login in my passwords manager. The password (and username) were unique to the MUD, so I wouldn't have had that combination anywhere else, but that still doesn't guarantee a breach of the MUD database. It depends how their notification algorithm works.
