If you were curious on the event schedule, the event schedule has changed. Check your local rumor board.
If you're like "WTF, my rumorboard doesn't say shit!!1111", then your rumorboard isn't as cool as our rumorboards. Go make IC friends with travelling gossip mongers and drool over their access to better, more badass rumorboards.

I appreciate the patience with the second event, and the code surrounding it. There were some code changes that were being looked at being put in, but didn't quite make it. Hopefully if the event is done again, it'll be faster, smoother, and better.
Don't leave yet, however! The festivities will CONTINUE today, at 8:40pm server. Be it participating in a contest, spending your 'sid or fabulous items, or oggling pretty folk, there will be something for you!
