I have a question about palming an idem. If you have the skill
to palm something from a container with out being seen, shouldn't
you be able to palm an idem back into a container as well?
Yes, yes you should.
Anyway - yes, there is a way of placing something in someone else's inventory. It's called plant, and here's the link to the helpfile:

Edited to delete a reference to a post that was deleted.
Sorry if anyone saw this post after that one got the poof and misunderstood my intent.
I think the question is being able to palm something from your inventory back into one of your containers. If it isn't possible I'd like to see it too, but I've not played around with those sorts of skills extensively.
I like explaining this, because, well, this is something that I wish was possible.
Steal:
1) taking items from people without them noticing.
2) taking items off the ground without people notcing.
Plant:
3) giving items to people without them noticing.
4) placing items on the ground without people noticing.
Palm:
5) taking items from items, without people noticing.
Slip:
6) place items into items, without people noticing.
::Edited to note that it is now able to plant items on the ground::
::Edited to note that it is now able to 'slip' items into items::
Edited to include nothing at all.
That's enough dog-piling on the person with the typo.
Thanks,
Brix.
You can steal things off the ground? Key. Is using the skill in that way still illegal?
Edit: Good old help-files. Always with all the answers.
I just found out today.
You can plant items on the ground. Oooo. Neat!
You can also palm items off the ground.
And yes, I think you should be able to palm (or perhaps "slip"?) things from your regular inventory to one of your own containers.
Can steal things off of the ground too 8)
