Is it just me or is there a lot of lag this evening?
It's been going on for maybe about 4 hours and it is currently off the charts ridiculous. Staff (Ath) have mentioned that they are trying to get someone to look into it. I haven't seen anything yet suggesting what the cause is, whether they've got server staff looking into it yet, etc. Hopefully it won't go on for too much longer.
Nah check the RAT thread, we're all suffering. Minute wait between room.
Since the forum and website both run off of the same server, it looks to me like it's an issue with the mud engine itself as I'm not having any issues accessing the site nor am I getting lag from them.

Do they? The game runs off of a separate server from everything afaik

Yeah they haven't been on the same server since weekly downtime
You're right, GDB and game/website are different IPs.
That's not conclusive, of course, since a server machine can have many IPs. We once had people (SEO folk) using like 200 per machine. But staff recently mentioned gdb and ginka are separate machines, when gdb was crawling the other day.
Also, the lag is fixed.
