Title: Strange Client issue
Post by: Novek on August 14, 2015, 08:09:14 PM
So I logged into Armageddon today and looked in the settings, not changing anything at all. When I closed the settings, my client went nuts and now I'm stuck with a strange graphical issue where it seems like the text is squashed to one side.

^This what the font defaults to when I try and change it back to Agency FB, which is the default font.

^This is Agency FB and the text looks squashed and unclean, nothing like what it looked like before.

^This is to show I've changed no settings.

Anyone help? I've tried clearing the cache on my browser and such, but nothing works. I even re-downloaded the font.

EDIT: I've fixed it, it was courier as the default font and not Agency FB, but it reverts to Agency FB after I change it to courier anyway. Still a strange thing to happen.

Mudlet doesn't accept Courier as a font, either. I took to using Courier New or another fixed-width font I found that I liked. Glad you solved the problem, I have no idea what client that is by the screenshot.

Looks like the client on the site.  Glad you got that sorted, Novek, it's good to have you playing with us. :)

One day you might consider downloading an alternative MUD client (Mudlet, like Alesan mentioned seems like a popular choice).

MushClient is a good one for Windows also.

No wonder. I never use site-hosted clients. Mudlet's good, yeah, and I use zMUD too, only for its mapping capability. If I could craft a Mudlet script for mapping, I could finally leave zMUD behind.
