It throws me on a loop when Northern Nobles have similar titles as Southern Nobles. Can someone describe this situation better without getting into IC detail? I assume it has to do with the whole vertical/lateral progression discussion that the staff are trying to implement.
This is something I would ask about in game.
I think I'm a bit confused by this question. Titles are just a job of what someone has. Titles, last I checked aren't specific based on location. Unless you want the generic title of Faithful Lord/Lady or Chosen Lord/Lady. Those are specific to Tuluk. Beyond that I think pretty much titles are up for the individual clans to determine be they from Tuluk, Red Storm, Luir's, or Allanak.
Hm, a bit confused by the wording as well.
I don't think northern nobility and southern nobility are related. Nobility in Zalanthas came from earned positions. You had at one point ;
Kings, of men. They ruled shit. Then a dragon ruined all that. Any 'nobility' in any lineage or memory I imagine died out.
All current nobles, north or south, came up to power by fondling the teet of power for Muk or Tek, distinguishing themselves in some way to earn their titles. Nothing hereditary (initially)
The STRUCTURE of aristocracy is similar north and south, because both city-states have a god-king that has templars ruling with an iron fist. So society wise, both cities have a similar flow with their nobles ; It just varies by culture of location. (Senate as to triumverate... for instance)
This is my attempt to help answer a question that was an enigma to me.

The OP is referring to something that is ongoing IC and should really not be discussed on the GDB.
Well, I'll point out that militaries of all real-world nations tend to have pretty similar ranks, even if they are enemies...
