Question:
If you met someone on staff and fell in love and the only way to be with them were to quit playing, would you do it?
Option 1: Only if they're hot
Option 2: Only for Nyr or Talia
Option 3: No way! They can quit staff to be with me.
Option 4: Screw that! Love does not exist
Option 5: Yes
Option 6: No, We are're strong and can keep IC information out of our relationship.
Option 7: No - I would do anything for love - but I won't do that.
So you meet a staff member and become completely enthralled. You are madly in love but because of the IC nature of the game, them being on staff creates a barrier to the degree that you can't be together. Would you quit playing Armageddon if it was the only way you could be with them?
I would quit staff to ne with you, Molten.

Awe.. thanks.
Anyone who chooses to leave the game because they must have my sweet, sweet love should be warned that I'm a love-'em-and-leave-'em type. But I guess you can come back to play again after I'm done with you.
Don't be fooled! Staff only want you for your brainz.

I voted for all of the options. It was a tough decision, I just couldn't make up my mind.
I voted for only if Nyr and Talia are hot
Many people on staff have spouses who are players or other staff. (I don't mean at this moment. But historically.)
There is one other player in my drowning excuse for a country, and they're also a dude.
Life would be way easier if I were gay.
Can we have pictures of Talia before we decide?
She could be a toad and I'd still love her.
LOVE AINT ALWAYS ABOUT APPEARANCES GUYS
Right before I make my kills, there are always screams that I interpret to be of ecstatic joy at the vision of my countenance...so I'm pretty sure I must be hot, or something.
Yeah, basically. It'd be like severing my arm but I don't intend to pay for internet anyway if I ever become the one to foot the bill and the bill is more than forty a month.
If I fell in love i think I would quit. There's only room for one in my beds.

I know. Staff members are incredibly attractive like that.
My heart may quit, but my mind will never.
I actually did this. Why isn't there a "NO" answer? :'(
I haven't quit yet. wink wink wink ;) ;)

If you're that dedicated to keeping up the barrier of IC info between yourself an your significant other, then I salute you!.
There were only five options and I couldn't figure out how to add more.
Edited to add: I figured it out, there are now six options.
I might... I might not. Probably not. I don't really have time for love with this never-ending twink fest I must engage in for my PCs to be barely competent with their skills, sorry.

We're so obsessive, back when he was playing, we didn't even play in the same area of the game.
Having perviously dated a member of staff I would say I feel pretty confident you can date someone and leave the game out of it.
I'm pretty sure I've had things with several staff at since point or another. I should have my own option, like "I'd ShaLeah the fuck out of them."
I chose "Screw that, love doesn't exist" because it seemed like the non-serious, opt out answer.
Real answer: No, because who cares? There's enough OOC chatting going on (undoubtedly even some between staff and players) that I really don't think it would matter, in the scheme of things, if they talked and let a few things slip here and there. Anything shy of giving them the full on Halaster treatment, it's probably business as usual.
What's the Halaster treatment?
>put Only for Nyr or Talia, because after Talia chews me up and spits me out(assuming she's true to her word) At least I'll have her number to call her and be like, 'Hey look, can you just wake someone up and tell them to look at the applications? I wanna play, and any amount of waiting more than precisely the fifteen minutes it took to wake you up at three in the morning is too much for me to not be playing. You're gonna listen to my screams of horror? Oh, alright. Yea. Long as you hit the 'approve' button first.'

Halaster was a former imm who gained a bad rep in some circles for building things for his PC and his minions that would frankly shock and baffle you these days. This was in the 05-08 "fuggit, we're starting from scratch" period where pretty much anything went because they were planning to reboot the MUD anyways. So if you wanted to build an impenetrable evil volcano lair, and a machine gun that shot insta-mage-gib bullets, and then just give it to yourself IG, you could totally do that. And Halaster did. (I'm being a bit facetious, but
only a bit.)
On one hand I don't really miss crazy shenanigans like that, but on the other... I kind of miss the sort of insanity that occurred back then. Maybe it's selective memory, but there was sooo much interesting stuff going on, even if you were getting PKilled be demigods every 2 weeks.
