Not really a new player question and I was going to put this in ATS, but I thought that other veteran players might be able to answer this so I'm sticking it here.
Kanks are obviously extinct in-game and have been for decades now, but I was trying to remember the various colours that kanks used to be?
All I can really remember are the yellow kanks. Am I just remembering yellow because that's the only colour they were, or did they come in other colours too?
I only remember the yellow ones too, and maybe brown. Pretty sure they only came in Vrun Driath colors.
FYI, the last time I asked a question in here it got moved to general discussion (on the auspice that I am not a new player anymore). I suspect you also fit in that category ;P
I remember yellow and brown and I think I once saw either an orange or red one, though I'm not sure where I remember that from.
Kanks came in all sorts of colors!
Yellow was the most common, followed by grey. (I think I bought "a large grey kank" with every single character I had until they went extinct.) There was a saffron kank, and Luirs sold a mottled purplish derpy kank with uneven antennae which always made me laugh.
Check sig.
You were one of the cool kids if you had a beige kank.
There were also black honey kanks which you could mount and "unpack" to get globules of green kank honey.

One of my characters found one of those and totally elfed it. They were the shit.
I remember Paryl had a scarlet kank that he took off of some Tuluki during the copper war.
I think kanks have been gone long enough. As a special rp event someone should find some lost cache of kank eggs in the desert or some cave, and auction off a few at a time, periodically...

I had a character who borrowed Paryl's purple kank for the Mul Outpost raid, and promptly rode it off the shield wall, killing it. That whole thing still gives me a chuckle to this day.
